: I am finding there are more templates here that are '''not''' on the starter wiki than on the starter wiki. It might better to have a parameter called <code>|on starter</code> to indicate templates that are on the starter wiki. So it might be better to change the focus to not worrying about those that are not on starter to those that are on starter. Another parameter could be an indication that the version here is not the same as on starter. Just some thoughts. Forums: Index Watercooler Template:SPW

Every single template on this wiki has a flaw that makes it less suitable for cross-wiki export. Virtually every template has at the top of its documentation a {{SPW}}. No other wiki will have a use for that that template, which merely reports if a template is on Starter Pages Wiki or not. So every other wiki will not have it, and display a redlink when called.

There is no reason for this pervasive redlink if the relevant information can simply be a parameter of Template:Documentation. That will not create a redlink on most wikis, as we can assume they will have a Documentation template from w:c:starter. It is necessary that the Documentation template from this wiki be modified, but it is protected from editing except for by sysops. Please un-protect Template:Documentation so that the ugly {{SPW}} redlinks can be removed. Henstepl (talk) 05:51, October 25, 2017 (UTC)

I am also in favor of this motion to remove the {{SPW}} templates from all {{Documentation}}. Lady Aleena (talk) 05:11, November 13, 2017 (UTC)
