Editing Forum:Single Line

I am new here on Templates Wiki. I was looking at other templates, researching how to use them on my new template page, and found out that long codes can be used in a single line with a scroll bar. I was wondering: what allows you to do that?

The reason why I don't know this is because I use a phone, which puts an article page on a different format, which doesn't include "Edit." Usually, I would press "add comment" on the bottom "Comments" section to get to the desktop version. However, there isn't one on this wiki. So I have no access to viewing article sources.
